NumBuster is an app designed to identify who is calling from an unknown phone number. It shows you how other users rate a specific phone number and allows you to share your own feedback. The app includes several features to provide comprehensive information about any caller.

Caller ID Mode

During an incoming call, NumBuster displays a screen with detailed information about the phone number. The display includes:

• Phone number rating — reflects the level of trust based on community feedback.
• User tags — such as “spam,” “courier,” or “bank.”
• User reviews — help you understand the intent of the call based on others’ experiences.
• Private Notes — private comments about the phone number, visible only to you.

The app offers two display options: a full-screen mode and a Caller ID widget.

Phone Number Lookup

Enter a phone number manually into the search bar or select it from your contacts. NumBuster will show you its phone number rating and what other users think of it. This helps you identify who is calling and decide whether the phone number is trustworthy.

Pattern-Based Call Blocking

This feature allows you to block groups of phone numbers that share the same starting digits, such as specific phone area codes or prefixes. It helps you automatically filter out mass spam campaigns without having to manually block each individual phone number. You can learn more about pattern-based call blocking here.

Phone Number Page Rating

Every phone number is assigned a rating on its dedicated phone number page, giving you a quick indication of whether the caller is legitimate or deserves your attention.

Reviews

Detailed reviews left by other users are available on the phone number’s info page. These reviews provide essential context about the caller and how they are perceived by the community.

Emotags

Emotags are emoji-based labels used to categorize any phone number in your contact list. You can indicate whether you trust a contact or if it leaves a negative impression. You can also see emotags from other users, helping you quickly identify helpful or unwanted callers. Learn how to add your own emotags here.

Private Notes

You can add a personal note to any phone number — for example, to remind yourself who the person is or the context of your last conversation. These notes are strictly private. For more details on adding private notes, click here.

Custom App, Call, and SMS Icons

In the settings, you can choose alternative icons for the NumBuster app, as well as for call and SMS app icons. You can change these at any time to customize the look of your interface. Learn more about changing icons here.
