Get NumBuster

WhatsApp and Viber are convenient communication tools, but also, fraudsters often use them — scammers call from unknown phone numbers, posing as bank employees or service companies, or your acquaintances.

NumBuster for Android helps identify who is trying to contact you. The app identifies numbers not only during regular phone calls but also those made via WhatsApp or Viber — the feature is available for devices run on Android and is presented as a widget on the incoming call screen.

How It Works

NumBuster analyses incoming calls in WhatsApp and Viber. When you receive a call, the app checks the phone number against its database, constantly updated with the information submitted by other app users. If the phone number is tagged as scam or spam, a warning in the widget will appear.

The widget will display the following sections:

  • Phone Number Rating — based on reviews from other app users, it helps you understand whether you can trust the caller.
  • Reviews — show you the experience of other people who have already encountered this number.
  • Tags — display useful tips, such as “spam” or “debt collectors”, or any other to give you an idea of who’s calling.

So, you decide whether to answer the call or block it.

How to Install and Use the Widget on Android

  1. Open the NumBuster application and grant access to notifications.
  2. Find and enable the Caller ID in Messengers feature.
  3. Allow the widget to be displayed over other applications.

Now, when receiving an incoming call via WhatsApp or Viber, a window with information about the phone number will appear on the screen.

Feature Advantages

  • Actual Scam Warning — information about the caller appears before you answer the call.
  • Spam Protection — shields your Android device from unwanted calls.
  • Social Database — real people submit their reviews, enhancing the app database accuracy.

NumBuster makes calls made via messengers safer as it lets you know who’s calling in advance. Thanks to its widget, an information about phone numbers is available directly on your device’s call screen to protect you from unwanted communication with scammers.
